2006 R171 SLK Seats. Why so firm.

My wife has a 2006 R171 SLK Seats. Whenever we go on a long run in that car. I have an EClass. The seats in the SLK seem very firm. Is this normal?

I also have a R171 SLK and find the seats really comfortable for many many hours continuous driving - do you have 18" wheels at all?
I'm on 16"'s and they're much more compliant than the larger wheels.

Yes 16 wheels. as soon as you get in the car you car feel how firm the seats are. Even on a shortish run the are still firm with hardly any give at all. I have had quite a few Mercedes and my wife has had 2 SLK's R170 and R171 and non of them have had seats like these. If you live near Aylesbury, you could come and see.

Wonder if the foam has collapse, was very popular fail on old Triumphs - my 95k mile seats are still excellent
