Morning all,

MOT day yesteday and got an advisory on the high level brake light being out. Anyone had this before? My gut reaction is it is unlikely to be the unit itself, more a connection.

What are your thoughts?

Cheers

Probably water damage to the circuit as they can leak.

Do you mean in the actual light unit itself? That would make sense as however sealed a sealed unit is, 13 years on the top of my boot could unseal it!

Both, the rubber seal between the 3rd brake light and the car body can leak, this in turn can cause water to get into the light unit and corrode the tracks and LED's.
