hi,

on my 190e-1993-it is located under the exhaust manifold on the engine block.

access to it is somewhat restricted and my mechyanic used a special tool to remove the plug during a coolant change procedure,

the plug at the bottom of the radiator as you will be aware is a doddle to open.

Thanks Sunil
There's no obvious plug under the exhaust manifold. I've looked in an old Haynes 190 workshop manual and it does show a plug as on your car.
However, on my 200e 16Valve, there is what looks like a sender unit near the manifold. I'm wondering whether that's what I unscrew to drain the block.

Can anyone confirm this before I unscrew it ?

I've got the Brooklands W124 workshop manual but there's no mention of the location of the block drain for the 16 valve engine.

Best wishes
John
