HI all
I want to give the battery a charge as it dosen't get driven a lot these days
Do I have to remove the battery to charge it or can I charge in the vehicle still connected as I have read this may cause a problem with the alternator.
Thanks for any advice

there have been a few similar thread recently. You don't need to disconnect your battery while it's being charged, in fact, various 'smart' chargers come with a lead intended to be left permanently connected to the battery eg CTek

Very handy things , I've got one on another car because the battery is so tall with no room for clips and no other points in the bay.

.
I bought a Maypole 7423A charger and fitted a charging lead to my old A200 as like you, it wasn't driven enough ...
Worked perfectly fine, and I left the lead in for the new owner :) a replacement is only a few quid.

Both my cars are in the garage so I can leave the bonnet up & connect direct to the battery.
If your battery is hard to get to or has to live outside then GLK has the answer for you.
