Hi
My 2010 E class cabrio has a leak in the boot. Water is soaking the upper boot liner on the passenger side underneath the hinge in the red square. I've replaced all the plastic rivets for the plastic covers and cleaned the area under them so they shouldn't be the problem.

The only thing I can think of is the seal on the hinge on the right of the image. Where it bolts to the car it sits on a rubber block. It dosn't have any obvious damage though. Any ideas?

Maybe try lifting the rubber boot seal up , putting a waterproof sealant under it and putting it back down again .
Lube the seals with silicone grease or gummipfledge
I wonder if water is getting under it ?
Has the car been parked at an angle ? Maybe try parking a different way if that’s the case to see if the problem persists.

Unfortunately the seal is a very solid rubber block that sits between the hinge and body. It dosn't seem possible to lift at all.

I can't see anywhere else it could be getting in but the rubber block itself looks fine. Anyone else had this issue?

Have you got an MB specialist that you use , who you can ask ?
I must admit I’ve not heard of it before with my forum reading and I tend to remember convertible related problems because I have a CLK convertible .
Anything on YouTube ?
