Links to similar threads welcome,
Dropped the car with Mercedes of Wakefield, total cost £4671.36, Mercedes have agreed to cover the subframe leaving me with £859.20 to cover ''All 4 lower rear arms / Rear level sensor arms broken x2 (HAVE TO BE CHANGED WITH SUBFRAME REPAIR - CHARGEABLE )''
But won't the broken subframe have caused that chargeable damage?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Paul.

I appreciate this is a later reply to the original post but I'll share my recent (Feb 24) experience.
I have a 2011 S212 and it was recalled for the airbag exchange. While doing it they carried out an unrequested full vehicle safety check and told me the rear subframe was corroded but they (this was MB Beaconsfield btw*) had spoken to HQ who had authorised the work to replace foc. I am unsure if additional work was required as I had nothing to pay when I collected the car after 2 days.
I think the OP will need to establish that the sensor arms were damaged as a result of the subframe issue.
Maybe OP can provide an update?

*I try to keep clear of authorised dealers and Beaconsfield proved to me that my reasons for this are sound. Every interaction I had with staff turned into an issue which started when I turned up for the airbag change to be told after 30 mins of waiting the part was not delivered to them. I went away to wait another 8 weeks while they got the airbag. As they were keeping my car for 2 days for the subframe I booked a courtesy car which they wanted a load of money for - I told them to charge MB as part of the warranty claim. They told me the 2 rear tyres were illegal, but they were only 3 weeks old - they had muddled up the vehicle inspection with another customers car. I called them numerous times to confirm when I could collect the car but nobody returned a call. Shoddy service from start to finish, although I am happy I got 2 expensive fixed carried out for free.

I'm due to collect the car this week, originally Stratstone were saying that to fit the subframe required removal of additional parts which would incur extra costs over and above the subframe (thrust arms, steering angle sensors and tie rods,) my argument being that if replacing the subframe requires removal of the other items then logically if those items cannot be reused then they should be included in the goodwill claim, - I'll know more in a day or two.

Just returned with the car, on the one hand it drives wonderfully, sadly the ''non goodwill parts'' came to £800 inc fitting, and they didn't even valet the f***ing thing, Stratstone won't see me again.

One less chance of them inflicting swirl marks!
At least you car is back and you can enjoy it again.
