ok, i have done a search on headlight removal but can't find anything, sure there would be a post somewhere, it's been confirmed that the ballast on the passenger side headlight is kaput, iv'e seen several youtube videos saying take the whole bumper off to get to the head lights, but is that really necessary just to remove one headlight? (passenger side)

this is just one of many jobs i have found that need doing on it :(

thanks Tony

The position of the bolts (one between the two lamps and up under the lamps) looks like there is no way other than removing the bumper, Look on google W212 headlamp replacemennt. Assuming you cannot get to the Ballast w/out removing the entire headlamp, a further nun it up under the wheel liners, cant see how you could get to that wout remvinf the bumper.

Thanks, will be removing the bumper and headlight Thursday, I don't want to order a new ballast until I can confirm the ballast part numbers, also going to do an oil, air, pollen filter change, flush the oil through, and top up with a decent oil, need to look at the exhaust as well as it sounds like it has a hole in it, the engine is louder in the car than out.
