Are you sure you should have added the DPF cleaner to your fuel tank? What do the instructions actually state?
Poor service from a Mercedes Engineer who leaves you with a car that will not start ?

Was this the product... it was the only one I could see listed by ECP??

Just looked at the product details and they aren’t particularly clear but my understanding is that the liquid should be sprayed directly into the DPF filter (car lifted to access DPF) and not added to the fuel system.

Yes I didn't easily see what the fluid was but 100% it goes direct into the front of the DPF while on ramps and engine running.

But I see now what the OP used. That shouldn't be the cause of an engine stopping.

I wonder if this was a Mercedes specialist with a STAR diagnostic?

Well i did get the DPF checked .. and the engineer there said the reading on it was still 270.. the milage on the vehicle is just 71k yet.. so he said dpf should not have any issues..

if your car is under mobilo, which I assume, then the action of the mechanic is suprising. Did he not offer to take the car to the dealership and give you another car as should be. is there actually a dpf light or is it the EML light (just not sure)

No its not under any warranty.. he came to check it privately.. well he said it will cost me quite dear if he take it back to the garage... There was a warning light on dash which when checked with error code it was dpf.. because no warning coming on dash now.. so people just guessing .. thats why just wanted to know if anyone else ever came across something like this..

Why on earth would someone conclude despite the car having just been running, and no doubt for the last several thousand miles, that the software needs an update?
Regardless of the complexities of a modern diesel, the fundamentals still apply, you need air, fuel and something to make it go bang.
Nothing wrong with using a diagnostic tester, but they should be looking at the live data. Does fuel rail pressure look ok, is there an injection demand, mass air flow look OK?

You wrote there was a warning light on the dash, but now there's not. Did it clear of its own accord or only after the guy hooked up with the Star? If you clear a code it won't just come back straight away. Many faults need the correct conditions for the module to run the check, at least engine running! So if faults were cleared but the lamp isn't on, the fault condition is still there.

The fact you had a blocked dpf, put some dodgy stuff in the fuel, sure the dpf isn't completely screwed now? If they get so blocked that can cause a slow crank. Again though, the air flow reading would show that.

Well thats a real good detail.. but tell you the truth brother.. this exactly what happened.. a light came up.. got it checked .. the error code was for dpf.. then bought solution from euro car part which they recommended.. and took it to motorway for run.. and it just stalled.. and then got number for a mechanic from who can fix my car.. the guy works for mercedes and he came hooked up his computer.. and rest i wa it is now.. it just doesnt start.. it cranks up slowly like low battery.. but i got brand new battery.. and even got another vehicle attached with jump leads..

Did you refuel the car also just prior, could have been contaminated fuel.
