So I've got a mechanic sorting out my broken drive belt and he checked the alternator to see if the clutch in it is ok but then he said it doesn't have one but he thinks it should have , so does anybody know whether this car should have clutch in alternator or not ?

stop worrying I say. I find more and more mechanics are cluless. Has the alty been worked in before.
Had the tyres changed in my W251. Mechanic said you need to go the dealers and have the TPMS set up on their computer.
I said you just changes tyres and have replaced the valves right, yes he said, and were they fancy valves with bolts on I said, no he says, so where is the TPMS i says.
