2012 E350 Heater Probelm

I had no heat or lights on climate control module and radiator fan runs on high speed. I replaced the climate control console. Now heat is on all the time even though I lower the temperature. Also the A/C if button is pushed it will stay on for 5 seconds and turn off. Does the console need to be programmed?
