Morning i have a w246 2013 B Class with the 18" alloys and MO Tyres 225/40/18.
Now my question is, i want to buy a space saver spare to have in the boot for long journeys, what size space saver spare do i need?

Any advice, gratefully appreciated.

If you google 'w246 2013 18" spacesaver' there are multiple options from ebay or aftermarket sellers

@Srdl thanks for that, i did feel that Larkone's initial responses were a bit unnecessary. It's easy to google or just get chatGPT to do it for you nowdays. A more considered reply would have been more helpful, that said, thanks everyone, i now have the info i need.

Apologies you did not like my help but your initial question did not detail what you had done so far to the point of asking so it is reasonable to assume that you are coming cold to this without any prior knowledge - good luck with your search

And when you find the solution it would be really helpful to others if you posted the solution so it is recorded in the forum.

thanks for that, after researching the link you did actually send me it turns out that i do need an 18" wheel and it also turns out that although it's an 18" wheel it's actually slightly smaller than the alloys so to accommodate the large profile tyre, so all good in the end. All i have to do now is purchase a jack and research what type of wheel nut bit i can use and if i can use my 18V impact driver!!

Now that i've sorted out the wheel and Tyre my next question, what size wrench do i need? are the nuts all the same size across the wheel ranges? I'm seeing 17mm online!!
Used to be so easy when they supplied all these tools with cars!!

you just get bolts with the same as those already fitted to the car otherwise you'll need two different wheel braces ... though the brace I have in my boot has a double ended socket 17/19
Be aware that you'll likely need shorter bolts for the steel spare that you use on your ally wheels

finally purchased my spare wheel from the wheelshop. £166 all in including: Jack/Spanner with 2 sockets/4 bolts and a cover for the 18" wheel and bag for all the other bits. Can't complain..
