2016 Air con blows warm air.

Hi my wife's 2016 Smart for 2 blows warm air. Even though the clutch moves freely by hand, it does not run when switched on. What things should I look at first?

Just put the ICarsoft on it and it says that the interior temperature sensor has an open circuit or short circuit to positive. Could this be the problem and if so where is this?

Not sure on the Smart. Usually the internal temperature sensor is in the overhead light console. On some vehicles there's a little fan that draws air in through a vent, this can fail and give symptoms similar to what your seeing.
I'm assuming that you've already ruled out lack of gas, hence the fault code check.

Hi thank you for the reply. I will have to take it and have the gas checked and then go from there. Checked the fuse, not that you can get to them easily on a RHD Smart car. Thanks again.
