Hi guys,

I purchased a new clock spring for my 2016 c220d and I fitted it and done the angle sensor calibrated it to 0. But it still doesn’t feel the same is this because I need to get it coded on a Mercedes star machine ?

There is a lot of info on YouTube and elsewhere on this job - might be worth looking. IIRC there was a recall by MB on faulty clock springs causing the airbag to deploy.

I’ve watched every YouTube video there is but they are for older models I needed to know my exact model and year, it was my fault when I took the stearing wheel off it popped out and all the wire unwound so I threw it and brought a brand new one installed it lined it all up etc was very straight forward but then it doesn’t feel 100 percent so i didn’t know if it had to be coded
