2016 E Class Estate (W213) Boot Load Cover not working

I have a problem with the load cover in the boot of my 66 plate W213 E Class Estate. The boot opens perfectly, but the load cover is stuck in the up position and will not go back down to the horizontal position when the boot is closed. I cannot remove it due to the mechanism at the bottom of the tracks stopping it from being taken out, and because it is stuck in the up position I can barely see through the the rear window. Any ideas on a DIY fix will be greatly appreciated. May thanks. David

You should be able to slide the runners off the guide rail when it's raised. Once it has been released & after I opening and closing you should be able to slide the shelf back into the guide fails now it Sent work correctly again
