2016 W205/S205 Upgraded screen with Apple CarPlay brilliant offer

Hi fellas,

So we purchased our 2016 S205 AMG Line Premium Plus on Wednesday and me the wife and I want CarPlay in the car.
Ive been asking and looking around since buying and have come to the conclusion that upgrading the screen is the most sensible option rather than just fit a unit with the existing screen That nearly costs as much.

So I’ve found a company that are doing the 12” screen upgrade for the same price as the 10.25” with fitting for £550 all in (Please see link below)
I guess we all know he benefits of having the android system installed with all of its functionality integrated with the NTG5 setup in the car, this looks like a fantastic offer to me so thought I’d share.

It will be interesting to see what it’s like with CarPlay being the OS is android and therefore trying to map to Apple, seems an okay price but I would think the memory might be a little low for it to perform more than one task at a time, you might find it a little clunky I suspect

What does Apple Car play and/ or Android Auto actually offer ? Ive seen on here that people have spent seriously on adding kit to provide it but no idea what it actually provides.

It mirrors your phone, so you can use the navigation apps etc that you have on the phone
