the rear of my car feels like it's moving about! I'm having to slightly counter steer at speed, very disconserting.

Broken rear spring, worn out bushes, bald tyres. Get it up on a lift and have a look.

Although I will say I've had the same sensation when I had a really bad inner ear infection, thought the back of the car was coming around on me...
