Hi all,
Going to replace starter battery in my 2017 S213 E-Class (2.0 Diesel Estate) - I see people online about having to 'reset' when new battery installed.

Is this true?

I had the starter battery disconnected for over a week a while back and when I reconnected, all was fine! (I know there's an aux battery on these cars).

Some people stating online that there's a diagnostic reset procedure to reset alternator output.

Any ideas? Thanks all

As above use a spare battery to maintain power, easy enough to do nowadays using the charging points in the engine bay

Thanks all - so no 'coding' or 'resetting' via diagnostics required?

On a side note - as mentioned above, I previously had the battery removed for over a week - didn't lose any 'memory' etc! Isin't that what the AUX battery is for?
