2018 C250d Roof Rails & International Driving Permit requirements in Europe

Hello, I've just joined the forum and I'm after a bit of advice if possible please.
I've just changed my 2013 C200 Cd AMG Line estate for a 2018 C250d Premium AMG Line estate - great car, but the roof rails are very different, rendering my current roof rack redundant. Does anyone know of any specific feet that can be used with older (general) roof racks that will attach to the newer roof rails please?

Also, I still have a paper driving licence (yes I am that old!) & I'm planning a trip to France & Italy this year, but finding it difficult to clarify where IDP's are required. Does anyone have any experience of this post Brexit please? Many thanks in advance.

With a paper licence you will need an IDP for France, possibly also Italy, just checked this myself as daughter and family are heading off Saturday! If you swop your paper licence for a photocard licence you do not need an IDP for France - probably worth swopping as that's what people (coppers, car hire etc) expect to be shown these days, it also acts as photo ID!
