I'm now thinking about one of these instead of the 220 cdi.
I don't do a lot of miles so the poorer mpg won't matter that much.
Are they reliable engines, any know faults?

Would be a 2009 or 10 model so not blue efficiency.

Yes there are some faults. But........
The 204 with the om642 engine is just fantastic. I love the 204, and love the v6 cdi in it. The later 350 is even better!!!!!!!!
Go for it you will not look back

If you not bothered about mpg and don't do many miles buy petrol, DPF's can give problems on Diesel cars that only do short journeys.

Round town there is probably not much difference in the MPG's

Main problem is my 209 is running so sweetly at the moment and I think the 2.1 litre diesel is rough in comparison.
It's just a question of the best time to change as it always is when a car reaches a certain age.

W204 350 cdi is a fantastic car, I am driving one and honestly I had a 220cdi before and the fuel consumption with the 350 cdi almost match with the c220 cdi. So it is impressive and the car is quieter when driving in town but if you press the accelerator there is a beast in the bonnet and it takes off with such a great torque and the acceleration is awesome. I love the v6 diesel engine and I cannot wait to drive it around each day!
