I thought I’d just post up a small word of warning, as I’ve seen this twice now. There used to be a thing with the old 124 cabriolets, that using jump leads on them would pop the roof ECU. It seems with age that these 208’s are becoming similarly fragile. I’d seen one roof control module pop after a battery disconnect and reconnect and put it down to bad luck, but I’ve done another myself today. Bluddy annoyed with myself. I had a spare unit which I’ve fitted, battery still connected and key in my pocket and it’s fine, but I think something inside them has maybe become aged and the little spark you get when the negative terminal hits the post may be enough to finish them. Just wanted to put it out there.
