I dont think so Jib, but I can check, the 208 has more in common with the 202

You might both be right:

"The CLK introduced a new market niche for Mercedes-Benz. Although the W208 used components from the E-Class (W210) and had a specification level higher than the E-Class, it was in fact based on the less expensive C-Class (W202) platform." (Wikipedia)

But there is no way the headlamps were from the W202 Malcolm - those were rectangular, n'est pas?

The chances are the the lamps share the same fittings to some extent, but not all, hence the different part numbers, there are many parts on all the cars that have a full part number for another in the range, like a on a 202 that uses a 210 remote locking module, but in this case it has the full 210 part number in the 202 parts list

I'm pretty sure the main lights are not the same. If you look closely the E Class lights are rounder whereas the CLK lights are more oval (vertically stretched). Not sure about the inner side lights though, they may be the same.

I fear you may be right - a case of nearly, but not quite.
