210 door mirror replacement

The driver's door mirror on my 1998 E300 has been damaged - the folding mechanism is beyond repair. The two motors are ok, as is the mirror glass and the body-coloured cover.

I need to find a folding, heated and dimming frame and can't justify buying new M-B; the part number is: 210 810 50 16 (I think this comes with motors and glass; don't think these are now available separately)

Does anyone have experience of non-genuine replacements, and can you recommend them? (or do you have just what I need on a shelf in your garage)

The part numbers are here,I think that MB are just being lazy, have you tried the on line ordering.

I had looked on the Russian site thanks malcolm, but am not sure I know how to read it.
The part number I have been given: 2108105016 is listed on that Russian site and is identified in the right-hand column with '*880' which I had read as the notation for a part replacing the original part. I had concluded that M-B had simplified there parts for stock-keeping reasons and had tended to now stock complete units rather than components - based on no evidence btw.

Thats the one,be carful though with the numbers as different for LHD and RHD. The cover and the glass can be bought as spare parts
