230 ce Body trim removal/refurb

Hi there, the metal trim which so gloriously covers my new project is looking a bit worse for wear and i would like to restore it. From a distance it looks nice and shiny but up close there is a myriad of small scratches and pitting which does not polish up with metal polish.

Has anyone refurbed any? Also how difficult is it to remove as i'm scared of damaging the trim/body, especially the very large window piece!

Any advice always appreciated

I did a full restoration on my W123 coupe several years ago.

Be very careful in the way you remove the chrome trims.....I should imagine these parts are very expensive to replace now.

Thats great thanks, the pictures on the website show all the fastenings, which is always helpfull when pulling of delicate trim! Not sure the best way to polish the metal up though.........................
