Can anyone help my 230te 1990 estate keeps cutting out when I come to a stop cutting out at junctions after a run I suspected the ovp relays or fuel pump relay but have had trouble locating them have looked bahind the battery and found 2 black boxes but am led to understand that the ovp has a red top with a fuse within, I cannot find a fuse as the black boxes are sealed units can anyone tell me if im in the right place. The car went into a garage to find the fault but thay could not find anything wrong .

For anyone who might have the same problem it turned out to be the distributer cap and rotor arm having these replaced seemed to do the trick.

Good that you followed up with the solution. You might want to change the plugs as well.

(I would have replied at some point but my PC was wiped out by a lightning strike...back on the internet highway now though)
