230CE Sportsline

Hi all i have a 230 coupe its the sportsline model is this rare as i have not seen any others? Any information hints or tips would be great i have the real mercedes bug now :lol:

Mercedes-Benz offered an option called "Sportline" for the W124 and W201 chassis cars. This option was available in the North American market I believe

The Sportline option was available in the UK. You could have the chassis option lowered [30%] stiffened suspension higher geared steering box or the body option different seats/trim, gear knob,steering wheel or both options. The fully optioned cars had external Sportline badges. It was quite a popular factory production line option on new cars but many standard cars have been subsequently been modified with lowered/stiffened suspension in imitation. What distinguishes the real factory cars is high ratio steering box and interior trim which no-one usually replicates due to cost unless they use a complete donor car. In answer to your question- its not particularly rare- but is a desirable feature and should add a little value to your car if you come to resell.
