Hi,
thought I might move across classes so I test drove a 92 230E auto saloon with 125k on the clock. £3500.

Everything seemed smooth as silk but the brakes did seem to need a lot of work in comparison to my car. They could even be the difinition of spongy.
Is this normal for this marque?

The dealer reckons these cars are virtually problem free which I'd have to take his word for but should I really be going for a 6 cylinder?

it may be that all the brakes need are a bit of a bleed and they will be on top form again. Also we all get so used to driving our own cars, we forget how different other cars can be, even the same makes and models.

The E class will no doubt be heavier than your current C so that may have a bearing on the braking effort required.

And is there really anything finer for crusing about than a smooth lazy 6 cylinder?!
