I've just recently bought a 88 250D and am very happy with it, however I have no owner's manual with it, and can't seem to get one from the regular sources, anyone got any ideas (or even one on offer?!)

Also, in particular immediate problems include the collection of switches for E.C. internal air circulation etc seem all to not function, and (possibly as a result) the air con seems to be permanantly on, not desirable in this lovely climate of ours, so the only thing to do is keep the central vent as closed as possible.  Does anyone have any immediate suggestions?

One other thing, the rear speakers are not connected to the stereo, and I can't find the wires (well, I only had a quick look behind the stereo!)  Before I rip up half the carpet can anyone tell me which way they route, and the easiest way to get access to them.

Sorry to sound so feeble, my excuse is that all my previous engineering has been on 60s Brit motors.. now I face some serious engineering to contend with....!

BTW this looks like a great forum, Im very glad to have found it, thanks to everyone who contributes and is responsible for it.

Hi Damion,

And welcolme.

By the looks of it Daves sorted you with a owners manual. Although you can order one from a dealer. About £3.50.

The EC button means Economy. With the light on the ac is OFF.

There may not be any rear speakers. But if they are then they are next to the RHR if fitted. Under the panels to the side. They are plastic panels not the quarter ones then just follow your nose behind the seat etc. The rear seat remove the seat squab. Press the little red button. The back rest is held down with three 8mm headed screws. One each side and one in the middle under the center arm rest. The heave up. When removing the back rest . Whatch it you can scratch the vehicle arch as you remove it. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Good luck

Regards
