Good morning all

I have set my self a goal of buying a 280 SE

That's the easy bit out of the way,the hard bit is understanding why there is such a difference in the valuations between the different models

I know there is a standard and 3.5 version but why is[taken good condition] a 4 door around 15k a 2 door around 80 k and a convertible....well you pick a number and double it !!

I am sure there is an explanation and if you already know it this might be mundane but I would like to know

I know coupes sell better than 4 doors especially in the states but this seems a heck of a lot of difference

Thanking you most kindly in advance

Paul

I have noted they do seem to vary quite considerably in price.

As you say, the 280 SE convertible is the most desirable, as with all classic mercs the coupe's have better values. Always have!

I would love a 280 SE
