Hi Chaps
Thank goodness I've found you!
I've owned a 1982 280 TE for about a year now.
On checking it over originally, I found the rear suspension hydraulic reservoir totally empty.
My friendly local service man flushed the system through and bled it and the suspension then worked perfectly.
Unfortunately it occasionally stops working but, by cracking the banjo joint on top of the pump, a small amount of air can be bled out causing it to start working again.
The funny thing is, there's not a sign of a leak anywhere and I haven't had to top the reservoir up again! :? Any ideas where to start looking?
I now carry a 17mm spanner with me at all times!
My first Merc too, 22 years old, runs like a dream and I love it.
TIA
Paul
