2nd gear only

Hi can someone steer me in the right direction i have 1999 S320 W220 Alternator Failed low beam Globes Blew ,Drove home and Battery Gave out , Fitted new alternator after car sitting for 2 weeks with no power connected, Charged Battery and Tests ok ,Now the car drives in second Gear and wont change gears ,Display says Airmatic Visit Workshop ,ESP not working ,ABS light on with power steering not working properly ,No Speedo display Working ,Have put a scanner Tool on it and it wont recognise it have taken car to Dealership and they tried to clear codes assuming used a scanner as i did ,They say that its a reset issue but they carnt look at it for a week or so surely I'm thinking this can sorted any leads appreciated cheers
