Hi all, after reading through more posts than I care to mention I am still confused as to weather I can reprogram a second hand key fob for my
ML430 (I only had the one when I bought it).
I can see that the newer fully electronic ones can't be done but confused over conflicting advice over the type I have which is the 'flick knife' type and is only used to arm/disarm the alarm and not the ignition.
I am guessing that rather than reprogramming the key fob itself what you are actually doing is instructing the car to recognise the fob signal. My question other than can it be done at all is how many fobs will the car recognise, or will reprogramming one invalidate the other.
Obviously I would need to get a new blade to fit a replacement fob but before I bye either I would appreciate your collective advice.
Thanks In advance Dave.
