Hi there. I have a 1989 300 TE 4-Matic Estate auto (185,000). The trouble is every so often it will cut out when I get to a junction and go to pull away. The only way to pull off is to put the car in park and rev the engine and then pull the lever straight into 2 and off I go! It seems as though the choke is stiking on, the engine sounds choked at low revs. Any ideas? Has anyone elses car behaved like this?

I have the same problem on a 1991 model.

I am told it is overenrichment by my Bosch Specialist and is related to either the Control box or the Hydraulic actuator.

Replaced the control box courtesy of DRONDFIELDS with no improvement, now waiting delivery of the HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR.

I will keep you posted if this works.

Hmm another benz fuel injection glich, mine starts then dies at certain temps I've been told that its to do with the auto enrichment which is controlled by the ECU theres also an air temp sensor involved inthe puzzle,
the "start and die" is a common one tho

To me it sounds more likely to be the OVP relay. But then thats prolly coz nearly every other car here with the same problem found that to be the cause ;)
