I have just purchased a lovely black '92 300CE-24 Sportline coupe which I am absolutely smitten with. It only cost me £3000, which I think is a bargain even with 136k miles. It had one other owner and full service history and is in very good condition.
Before this fine machine I had an older 1986 260E, which I was also very pleased with. Unfortunately it was stolen outside my house in August. It was never recovered, so after wrangling with my insurers for a couple of months (Elephant - others be warned), I got some money back and bought this coupe.
My question is, how can I check if it has an immobiliser? What do I look for?
Also, the head of the automatic seat belt presenter has broken and I need a replacement, can anyone tell me the best place to get one?
