Hi,
At the lastminute I'm going to see an 1990 300CE 24v with Full service history at 96K currently has 110K on the clock.
Good Priceand looks in good condition and seller answersall the usual questions easily.
Im new to these cars and wanted to know if there is anything I should be cautious of ?

This question has been asked & answered in great detail in this forum a number of times. A search will turn up lots of reading material

My initial reaction would be to strongly suggest not buying the first car you see and not to buy one in a hurry

If the car has history to 96k and is now at 110k, when was it last serviced? When was the 96k service done? Does the interval / mileage seem credible??

Just a few thoughts to start off with

I asked the same question. They didn't know off hand but It will be in the service book. The garage did not know but said the the oil was clean when they got it. Suggesting that either it had been serviced recently or the oil has been changed to cover up something ?
Obviously the seller was praising it highly "Never seen one this good , even the scissors in the medical bag"
mentioned a few scratches and a little bit of rust on a sill.
5 previous owners.
Its quite far away from me but its the right price for me and sounded worth investigating further.

The photo looked really good. I'm a bit pushed for time, so going up to see it tomorrow. Hopefully its mechanically are sound and the bottom is not rotted through. Not one of these cracked head cylinders, I hear about.
I did say to the guy I was travelling a distance to see it and he assured me I would be impressed.
