300D Engine Mount Bolt

Im struggling with the drivers side engine mount top bolt, all have loosened ok,but this one is difficult to access unless i have to take off the exhuast manifold too? round spanner fits ok but just too tight and little room for leverage, can anyone advise me further?:-(

Take the mount bracket off from the engine and then fit the mount. I know what you are saying and it hurts :(

Thanks for advice, will have another bash at it tomorrow and see how it goes:)

They can be tight yes but not impossible to undo.

Use all your strength and it shopuld come undone with a stumpy spanner.

Done It!!!

After taking your advice Ian, on inspection i saw what you meant and it looked much easier option, but each time i passed the car i would have one last try with the old strength test (3 or 4 in all) to no avail. I then tried a short crow bar with piece of wood against body, and pushed on the ring spanner which was longest i could work with and hey presto; i got movment! Thanks again, also to BC55 think i might have passed the strength test lol.:D
