Im going to look at a 1990 G-reg 300E 4-matic tomorrow with the intention of buying it but wondered if anyone here can give me a few tips as what to look for and what to avoid etc. Also, what sort of price? The car is described (reliable source) as immaculate, almandine red,30k miles, full history (not sure if thats MBZ). Any advice gladly welcomed. Thanks

Nick

4-matics are rare and allegedly very expensive to repair when the drivetrain goes wrong but if that mileage is genuine I'd be tempted. I'd ask why it's only been driven 1500 miles a year though.

Condition is more important than mileage on W124's but something this low is unusual. Has it been serviced on mileage or calender dates?

Have you got a link or any pics, I'd like to see it. :)
