300SE W126 Central Locking

Hi,
The central locking has stopped working, i can open both front doors with my key but have to reach inside to release rear doors and worst of all the petrol flap will not open, can you help?

Hi. You can open fuel flap from the boot, take offside cover of,where the wheel arch is ,you will see the plunger that locks fuel flap give it a pull to open, push to close. Under rear seat offside you will see vaccumm unit ,look, listen for vaccumm leaks.

You were very helpful re my "fuel flap" which was great, however i was wondering if you could advise me as to my central locking which does not work at all, i can open the drivers and passengers door with my key, but he rear two doors are locked and i have to reach in and pull very hard on the door handle, i would like to get the central locking back working, have you any suggestions? Has any water got under rear seat.Have you got electric windows in the back doors, if yes do they work? As the relay for them is under rear seat, opposite the vaccumm unit.which you can buy on E.Bay. Also you may find a cheap vaccumm unit on E.Bay as Was told not available new now, but you can have them repaired.where about are you,let us no how you get on.Brian

I think the vaccumm pipe comes of the inlet manifold on yours disconnect the pipe further up the line and feel any thing coming through, some Mercs have a vaccumm pump.
