Seems an awfully stupid question but after 5 years I have to chnage a headlight bulb and can't for the life of me see how to do. Any help for a simpleton much appreciated.
you will have to remove h/lamp unit which is a struggle to get past bumper easier to remove bumper first, a bit extreme for a bulb i know, probably good idea to replace all while your in there
Doesn't the headlight rear have either a boot or a screw in section ? If so then simply unscrew/remove this boot which should give access to the bulb connector. unplug the bulb then remove the metal clip (Remember which way this clip goes) remove dead bulb and replace with new (DO NOT touch the glass of the new bulb) replacement is reverse of removal
If your car has sealed beams then you will have to replace the entire light unit.
Have investigated and can remove bodywork from around light with bonnet up. Glass lens appears held in place by a number of clips but lens still dosen't want to come off and the ones at the top are covered by the front wing. Can't believe you have to unbolt the wing to chnage a bulb!
you are right lens does not come off, there is only about 4 screws holding in h/lamp, if i remember ind lamp comes with it, you may squeeze it past bumper, presume you have the little panel off under h/lamp to expose screws
