Hello everyone,
I have just joined the forum, and have recently bought a 300te 24v. I would really appreciate any information with regard to problems they may have, and any general information that you can give me.
Thanks in advance
Mike.

Also, Does anyone know of a good independent specialist near Bristol.

I also own a 92 300TE24... 123000miles

Problems ?

Blown Head Gasket, Replace Radiator, Blown Exhaust Box, NEW ECU !

But they go like the wind when they are OK !

Mine came with a full dealer SH ... but I put it down to normal wear and tear (NOT the ECU though!) and its high miles !

But £5000 later (!), The car is like a dream ...

All Fuel/Brake/Suspension lines front to rear suffer corrosion.
Check fuel tank where filler joins it for corrosion.
Rear subframe front rubber mounts.
Propshaft rubber doughnuts both ends (front a bit tricky to check without a hoist.
Rear discs corrode on inner face.
Headgasket oil leaks/front timing case oil leaks.
Rear suspension spheres (rear end goes solid).
Diff seals (3)
Camshaft elements can get noisy / valve stem seals can wear (easily fixed)

This is a bad one, most are ok if looked after, get a dealer to check it and report anything, they know where to look
