hi i a newbie to this site. i've notice lately that my 254k 6 cylinder has dropped from 25 mpg to like 10! i changed plugs and wires approx. 5k ago (maybe 18 months ago).
engine has been well maintained, just put in new timing chain a year ago. Cruises great on the highway...
The check engine light has come on when starting lately, but disappears after i drive a minute or two....
Engine runs fine, other than does not always start first crank, sometimes it takes to attempts to start.
Any thoughts on what caused this sudden drop is gas mileage?
