Hi
Would the 4 spd auto box from a 1990 300te be the same box as in my 1991 300d?

The diesel has a lower rev limit so the ratios may be different. However I'd expect the ratios to be the same in both boxes and the back axle ratios to be different. I'm fairly sure the torque convertors will be different as the engine characteristics are very different

What are the part numbers for the two boxes?

The ratios are the same, the final drive ratio in the diff is different which accounts for the lower revving diesel engines.

I far as I know, the torque convertors are the same too.

You can always go to the good old Rusky site are compare part numbers between the two models. www.detali.ru
