Do a search on here for folding seat. There is a post in here explaining how a guy used a wooden pole and reversed into his house to get the seat down!!!
Dont worry, he missed the lever he was supposed to pull, just need to find the right one!
lift the headrests out (if you have them) there is a button you need to press to release them.
At the side of the rear seat squabs there are black handles - they look like the seat trim but if you put your hand under you will find they have handgrips on them, lift the seat base using them.
Once the seat bases are upright you can tilt the rear seat backs forwards, do the small one first as thats not attached to the dog guard, then the large one.
The dog guard/luggage cover can be removed by sliding it towards the drivers side.
The seat bases can also be removed by pressing the tabs that are visible when they are tilted forwards.
Sometimes the seat backs can get stuck, the mechanism that locks them needs freeing, reach behind the back of the seat and lift the spring off the brackets - or reverse the car into your house with a plank of wood jammed against the seat
The mechanism at the bottom of the seat backs was jammed on one side, the smaller side. I had no idea it was supposed to move so I forced it. It wrecked the hinge, but got the seat down! I replacewd the hinge and everything was fine. So, to avoid the trouble UI had:
Fold the squabs forward,
Look at the seat belt mounts on the floor of the car in the back,
You will see two spingy plates, one for each seat back.
Make sure they move up and down freely.
If not, ladle WD-40 on them and wiggle them with an adjustable spanner clamped tight on the arm attached to the spingy thing. It goes "BOING" when you flick it, and is a curved piece of spring steel.
Once these move freely the seat backs should move again.
