I have a coachbuilt motorhome on a 1989 Mercedes 307D with manual steering which i would like to convert to power steering. Aparently power steering was available as an optional extra but i am unable to find any details. The engine is a OM616 2.4cc diesel. Would the gear on a 308 fit? Can anyone help?

Your best way would be to buy a wreck and transfer all of the power steering gear,,not an easy job but can be done on your engine
