yeah it carries on battery light turns on but engine dosent shut off i have to manualy shut it offIs that in the engine bay?
So the engine carries on running even after turning off the ignition?
yeah i know about it but i have the lines that go from the ignition they going in to the blue pieces that i took a photo offFound this on google images. This should give you some idea of the vacuum pipe work.
This is off a 208d H reg
i have a t1which vehicle have you got because the T1 and the sprinter are two different vehicles in fact the sprinter replaced the T1 in 1995,the sprinter was electric engine shut off but the T1 was vacuum shut off and the ignition switch has vacuum pipes coming off it the vacuum pump is located on the front of the engine and will have a threaded union coming off it and going to the brake servo there will usually be some brown plastic pipes (small) which come off it as well which are normally the vacuum pipes for the ignition i do not recall seeing anything like what you have in your picture before i wonder if someone has bodged up something but it is somehow on the vacuum side of things, i would trace your vacuum pipes from your ignition switch and see where they go
yeah thing is mine is a manual with a automatic engine connectedJust looked on google images and found a picture of the valve. It May have some thing to do with the automatic gearbox as fitted to the engine in the picture.
hey sorry for the late reply but where did you find those pictures cause i've been using the last few weeks trying to fail test it but the only point of problem i come to is this blue pieces being the fault of it cause if i pull out one pipe from it and cover it the engine shuts off but if i keep it in it dosent im wondering if there isent enough vacum sucking thru it to kill the engine or if it might have something to do with the black line i have that gose out from the side of it just below the red lineCan you give a better picture of the pipes around the the vacuum valve. I dont recognise the valve on my van
Is your van a standard van or a professionally converted camper van with manual or automatic transmission.
i see if you coude take a pic or two of your van that woude be awesomeGood afternoon,
The problem you have is the pump on your engine is set up for a automatic gearbox. It has an electronic idle control the red part at the back of the pump plus the blue vacuum valve both of these are not fitted to the manual gearbox.
The vacuum shut off valve on the manual pump is the valve after the number 4 injector pipe on the pump.
Did you do the engine conversion or did you buy the vehicle already done?.
The pictures i found on google images as i mentioned in my post # 10.
I could take some pictures of the vacuum set up on my van if this would be of help.
To put it back to standard it would appear you would have to change the pump.
