Hi all
I have another problem with my sprinter van. Recently it has been difficult to start, ie. needs many attempts with key before even cranking, sometimes will stop suddenly while cranking and sometimes cut out just after starting. (Will not start with a tow !) 19 tries out of 20 the glow lamp stays on and then will not crank, if glow lamp goes out then cranks, but lucky if fires up 1 try in 100 !?
Garage diagnostic has shown the following:-
P1482 Glow output stage (N14/2)
P1481 Glow plug
P1630 Drive authorization
P1330 Starter control
Garage suggested replacing ignition barrel & switch, which was done yesterday but no joy & now glow lamp does'nt seem to go out at all.
Do'nt know if relevant but recently had injector seals & rocker cover replaced. Also noticed steering heavy occasionally.
Any ideas ?
