just had new alternator and battery fitted, light came on dash and all power drained from battery. now with new battery the lights are even brighter and now the coolant light is on but coolant ok,battery light is on ,new battery and the one next to battery light think it is brake warning light, just had new brakes for m.o.t. it all started last week the was a bang from under bonnet then the next day battery and brake warning lights came on. went off if you accelerated. after 3 days the lights stayed on all the time until battery lost its life. put new on one and the coolant light is on.also after they fitted new alternator the tick over went up to 1500 rpm and when you pressed the brake pedal went down to 900 rpm as normal. does anyone have a clue what is going on under this bonnet. its a p reg 312 2.9 td. would love to get to the bottom of this.
