Does anyone know if driver seat can be manually pre-adjusted in order to increase available lenght for driver legs extension?.
I bought this 1993 roadster last august and find it more and more incomfortable. I'm just under 6 ft tall (with rather usual human proportions, please beleive me) and can't obtain to stretch my legs in an acceptable position. On the maximum, there is still about 1" space avaialable between the seat back and the compartment behind in both upper and lower seat position. I checked many times if nothing is stuck under or behind the seat and electrical motion systems of the seats seem to work fine.
I regreat by old Saab which was so comfortable.
Did anyone met the same probem?, Solution? or has this roadster been designed by MB for dwarfs?

Nothing stuck

Thank you for your answer. Runners are clear and nothing is stuck under or behind the seat.

7 foot Dwarf?
Quiet the opposite!

My seat goes right back against the the back bunkhead, further than any car I ever owned.

BTW. My brother is 6' 4", and he cannot depress the pedals from this position.
I cannot even reach them.

Can't help with a solution but something seems wrong I an 6ft 2 and have no problems in my 500SL. although there is no space at all for any more backward movement even if i needed it. It is a pity to spoil enjoyment of driving such a fine car and I am sure that they were not designed just for vertically challenged people. Maybe a visit to a specialist would be worth the effort.

I am presuming that all R129s have electric seats.

I know that they changed the seat style on the first facelift.

But they still should go back to the rear seat bunkhead.

I'll measure the distance from the brake pedal to the bottom of the seat back

Its........ 45" from brake pedal to bottom of seat back.

45"

Thank you Pascal for this measure. I'll do it tomorrow on my car and compare with your 45".
What year and type is your car?. To be precise mine is a 300SL-24 first registered march 1993 type 12906132DT.
I'll be back soon.
