350 sl manufacture date - cleared stolen recovered needs dat

350sl without plate on slam panel, any ideas how i can date no reg plates. Has been put on Q because of lack of evidence any ideas please bryhrtly@aol.com

Take a look on the back of a plastic moulding from yhe interior or even from the engine bay,there is usually a date stamp on them.

Hi

In the early days. If the wheels were normal steel ones. With metal wheel covers. The date stamp would be on the wheel. In those days it was unlikely that the wheels were changed.

Have a look, you never know!
