No, its easier to lay on the roof with some one holding your feet:rolleyes:

If you can open it up they normally just have a blown track on the PCB if there is one.

Malc. As you well know that only works with the optional OEM anti-gravity suit. Part No W107As 1F 36 22 36...or for left handed folk 36 22 35. Not all SLs came with it.

Your right,I forgot that, but I dont think it works for the soft top. My memory is not as good as it was when I lived just north of Watford. :D

try Mercman and Dronsfields and other MB breakers

the Kickdown/fuel pump relay is pretty common across the same sized engine models of Mercs from similar years. That broadens the field of search a bit. Check the part number of the russian site from 380 SEs, 380 S, and see if they are compatible.

Try this site to see if you can cross-source your relay.

With a volt meter you need to check that you have 12volts on the plus lead but also very important, the other lead must go to ground (chassis) the fault could be on the minus ground lead.

The other way to check is to take a single cable from +12volt and join up to the + on the pump, but take the wire off the pump first. if that does not work, then try grounding the other - terminal

Your next move is to check that you have 12v going to pin 30 of the relay, you can do this with the relay removed for easy access. key2

the car will not run without the relay as it is also the engine speed limiter.
