450 SLC Cutting out

Can any one help my 450 slc keeps cutting out it has fuel good tickove but it suddenly dies as if you turn the ignition off even pressing accelorator to 3000 revs it will cut out then it works fine

have a search on the site for fuel pump relay (or kick down relay); hopefully it'll be of help.
